Rasha Hashem

Bio
Rasha Hashem is originally from Kent, Ohio. She has a master’s degree of teaching English as a Second Language from Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. Ms. Hashem has been teaching for the last 22 years and has traveled all around the world to teach. She is currently an English and ESL teacher at Columbia Heights Educational Campus (CHEC), where she has been teaching since 1999. From 2009 until 2013, she served as the world cultures coordinator at CHEC. In 2004 Ms. Hashem went to Paris, France to teach and returned to CHEC in 2009. She has a son who is working and going to school, and she enjoys traveling, meeting new people, reading, surfing the net and spending time with her family and friends. During the 2013-2014 year she was the mentor teacher for Ibrahim Abou Bakr Khaled from Ismailia, Egypt. This year Ms. Hashem is the mentor teacher for Yasser Mohamed Mohamed Elsayed Ilbrahim Eldeabes from North Sinai, Egypt.
