Zhang Guifen
Bio
Zhang Guifen is from Liaoning, China and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Anshan Normal University. Since 1998, she has been teaching English at Anshan No. 3 Senior High School in Anshan. She has participated in many teaching contests and teaching training programs presented by English and U.S. teachers, where she has gained experience with current best practices in teaching methodologies and critical thinking. Ms. Zhang is interested in reading books, especially those written by Confucius, as well as listening to music, and travelling. Through her hard work, she seeks to create a bridge for students from U.S. and China to get to know each other and plant seeds of friendship. She was hosted by Manor View Elementary School (325 students and 26 teachers) in Fort Meade, Maryland (pop. 9,327).
