Amina Chlouchi
Bio
Amina Chlouchi is from Meknes, Morocco. She received her master’s degree in communication from the Faculty of Letters, Meknes. Ms. Chlouchi has taught English as a foreign language at Zaytoun High School for seventeen years. At her school, Ms. Chlouchi also serves as a coordinator and was appointed to teach for the English Access Microscholarship Program. She is a dedicated teacher and has prioritized her professional development by attending numerous training sessions. Besides teaching, Ms. Chlouchi enjoys traveling, reading, and sports. She belongs to a large family and is part of a tight-knit community in Meknes. During her stay in the United States, Ms. Chlouchi aims to grow professionally and become familiar with American culture while working in collaboration with colleagues to engage students in learning Arabic. She is looking forward to socializing with her host community and experiencing American culture firsthand through celebrating holidays such as Thanksgiving. Ms. Chlouchi’s primary objectives for participating in TCLP are to teach Arabic, research teaching practices, and strengthen ties between the U.S. and Morocco to build a brighter future for the next generation. She was hosted by Merrick Academy Charter School in Laurelton, NY.
