Suzanne Olsen

Bio
Suzanne Olsen is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but was raised in Phoenix, Arizona and has now lived in San Diego, California for more than 30 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian and Spanish from Arizona State University and continued her education to receive a Masters of Arts degree in Spanish Education and Teaching Spanish from Southern Oregon University. She has been a Spanish teacher at Correia Middle School since fall of 2002. Currently, she is a program advisor for Safe School Ambassadors and also a member of the Instructional Leadership team at the middle school. Before teaching, she worked as a flight attendant for Pan-American World Airways, traveling to Central and South America, Asia, Australia and Europe. This summer she is completing her Master’s degree in Guanajuato, Mexico. Ms. Olsen lives with her husband, two daughters and a cat. She enjoys tennis, traveling, working and reading.

She was the mentor teacher for Fu Ailing in 2011-2012 and was the mentor teacher for Yao Xiaoning during the 2010-2011 academic year.
