Hend Elhendy

Bio
Hend Elhendy is originally from Suez, Egypt. She has a bachelor’s degree in arts and education from Suez Canal University and a diploma in TESOL from the University of Edinburgh. She has held her current position as a senior teacher since 2016. She is a part time English instructor at AMIDEAST, and she has been in charge of the English club in her school. Additionally, Ms. Elhendy studied FELT at the American University in Cairo and has managed workshops in EFL methodologies for junior English teachers. She enjoys traveling, walking, and safari. During her year in the United States, Ms. Elhendy looked forward to experiencing different aspects of American culture. Ms. Elhendy’s primary objectives for participating in TCLP were to be involved in the American educational system and to prepare for a partnership between her American school and her Egyptian school. She was hosted by Theodore Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC and is an alumni buddy to Yasser Beshay.
