Amy Taylor

Bio
Ms. Taylor is originally from Casey, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Grand View University. She is currently the International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator, a position she has held since 2010. She is also a member of the Walnut Street School Leadership team, the IB Parent Advisory Board, the discipline committee, and the crisis intervention team. She has taught early childhood classes, been an early childhood literacy coach, and taught second grade. She became a teacher to support and guide students toward becoming global citizens and learners, and has now been teaching for ten years. Ms. Taylor is married with three children. She enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, baking, and making crafts, and she is also very interested in world languages and cultures.

Ms. Taylor was the mentor teacher for Tian Yuanyuan from Shijiazhuang, China during 2011-2012 academic year and for Chen Xiaodie from Beijing, China in 2010-2011.
