Kathy Kerker

Bio
Kathy Kerker is originally from Greensburg, Indiana. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a special education endorsement from Marian College. Additionally, she earned a master’s degree in learning disabilities while professionalizing her elementary education license at Ball State University. She has been the English dual language immersion teacher for kindergarten for the last two school years. She was a kindergarten teacher for Batesville Community Schools for 37 years, and has also served as a learning disabilities resource teacher and coached volleyball and basketball. She became a teacher because of her love and joy of working with children and because she enjoyed seeing the happiness and independence in children as they learned. She is proud to say that she has been teaching for 39 years. She was the mentor teacher for Gao Zixin from Tonghua, China (2018-2019).
