Jacquelyn (Jackie) Noland is originally from Sarasota, Florida, but has lived in Ohio for more than 20 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Miami University as well as math and reading endorsements through the Ohio State University, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in integrated teaching and learning. She is a reading intervention teacher at J.W. Reason Elementary, where she has previously been a classroom teacher. As of 2019, she has been an educator for nine years, including a year spent teaching English in Quito, Ecuador. Ms. Noland teaches classes to speakers of other languages before school and facilitates parent workshops in the evenings. She collaborates with colleagues in all grade levels, and in the past has been a data team leader for her grade level team. Ms. Noland became a teacher to make a difference in the lives of others by advocating for her students and developing their academic skills, interests, passions, and global perspectives. She was the mentor teacher to Anas ElNahriry from Monofiya, Egypt (2017-2018), Amal Botros from El-Kanater El-Khairia, Egypt (2018-2019), and Wessam Abdelnaby from Damanhour, Egypt (2019-2020).
