Shannon DeBerry
Bio
Shannon DeBerry has taught in Okaloosa County, Florida for more than 20 years. Her career began at Combs New Heights teaching Pre-Kindergarten, where she also worked in special education teaching special needs students. She moved to Wright Elementary in 2001 where she teaches English language arts and social studies. She has a master’s degree in education from the University of West Florida. She added gifted, reading, and ESOL endorsements to her teaching certification, and also earned National Board certification. Her teaching methods are based on all children learning and performing to the best of their capabilities. Ms. DeBerry was the mentor teacher for Gu Zhen from Guangxi, China.
