Nashaat Mehany is from Al Minya, Egypt. He holds a license of arts from El Minia University, English Department and a postgraduate diploma in TESOL from Edinburgh University. He has been a senior teacher of English at Refaa El Tahtawy Prep School since 2013. Mr. Mehany is also the head of training unit and supervises the free reading activity in his school. He enjoys reading, watching English films and playing computer games. He is married and has two children. His goals for participating in TCLP were to improve his skills as a teacher, to observe the educational system in the U.S. and to function as a cultural and intellectual bridge between his home country and his host school communities. Mr. Mehany was hosted by Tomah High School in Tomah, Wisconsin. He was an alumni buddy to Yahya Ismael for the 2016-2017 year.
