Eric Tischer

Bio
Eric Tischer is from New York state and Connecticut. He received a bachelor’s degree in English from Southern Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in Japanese from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a Japanese teacher at Roton Middle School in Norwalk, Connecticut, a position he has held since August of 2013. Previously, he was a Japanese teacher at Brien McMahon High School, also in Norwalk. Before that, he taught ESL at a private high school in Japan. He became a teacher because he loves to teach and to be taught, especially language and literature. He has been teaching in some capacity for over twenty years. During the 2014-2015 year Mr. Tischer was the mentor teacher for Wei Wei from Gansu, China and during the 2015-2016 year he was the mentor teacher for Li Long from Fuijan, China.
