Deborah Simpson
Bio
Debbie Simpson is originally from Laurens, South Carolina. She received her bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Carolina and her master’s degree in education from Southern Weslyan University. She is currently working toward her reading specialist certification. She is the Instructional Coach for Laurens District 55 High School, a position she has held since 2013. She has been an English teacher there since 1990 and enjoys teaching American literature. She became a teacher because of a need to inspire others to make their lives extraordinary and has been teaching for 25 years. During the 2014-2015 year Mrs. Simpson was the mentor teacher for Xu Menghong from Hubei, China and during the 2015-2016 year she was the mentor teacher for Yang Huaixia from Shandong, China.
