Main Profile for Yang Ruirui

Yang Ruirui is from Sichuan province. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of International Business and Economics. Since 2006 she has been an English teacher at Deyang Foreign Languages School. Starting in 2012, she has served as the Chinese teacher to foreign students. Most of her foreign students have passed HSK levels 4 and 5 after they complete their studies in China. In 2013, she won first place in an English teaching skill competition in Deyang. She likes singing, playing basketball and watching films. She lives with her husband and daughter. Ms. Yang’s goals for participating in the TCLP program are to help students who have interests in Chinese to learn standard Mandarin. She also looks forward to experiencing a different school system and lifestyle in America. Ms. Yang was hosted by East-West School of International Studies in Flushing, New York.
