Main Profile for Liu Jia

Liu Jia is from Hubei province. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Jianghan University. Since 2006 she has been teaching English at Wuhan No. 29 Middle School. She has participated in many teaching contests, enabling her to gain insight on current best practices in teaching methodologies, critical thinking and communicative language. Ms. Liu has also won many awards for her participation in contests. Outside of her professional interests, Ms. Liu enjoys baking, reading, and traveling. Her goals for participating in the TCLP program are to explore classroom management, student motivation, and student assessment techniques in the U.S. Through hard work, she seeks to create a bridge U.S. and China students to get to know each other and plant seeds of friendship. Ms. Liu was hosted by Milwaukee School of Languages in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
