Byron Brown
Bio
Originally from Eutawville, South Carolina, Byron Sylvester Brown received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Norfolk State University. He later received a Master of Public Administration from Kentucky State University and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Western Michigan University. Mr. Brown spent two and a half years teaching in Ghana, Africa. Aside from currently teaching English at Scott’s Branch High School, Mr. Brown is an Adjunct Professor, a Senior Class Sponsor and an Academic Program Coordinator. He received the Perfect Attendance Award in both 2002 and 2004 and was also the Arthenia J. Bates Millican original Poetry Contest Winner. In addition, Mr. Brown was named the Clarendon School District Teacher of the Year in 2004 and has received an English Teacher Fellowship at Middlebury College. Mr. Brown enjoys outdoor sports, reading, traveling and spending time with his wife and son.
