Huang Xiaolin
Bio
Ms. Huang is from Shanghai, China and holds a Bachelor of Education Administration from East China Normal University. She began working at Shanghai Shixi High School in 2007, where she teaches English and other elective courses. Ms. Huang participated in a seminar on “Facing History and Ourselves” in Boston in 2010, focused on linking history to moral choices today. Her primary objective for taking part in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to bring Chinese knowledge to American classrooms and learn more to reward her future students. Ms. Huang was hosted by New Prairie Middle School (720 students and 40 teachers) in New Carlisle, Indiana (pop. 1,500).
