Zhu Xiuqing
Bio
Zhu Xiuqing is from Changchun, Jilin Province, and holds a degree in English language. Ms. Zhu has taught at the First Experimental Primary School of Changchun (5,000 students and 370 teachers) since 1982. Ms. Zhu has received several awards and prizes throughout her teaching career, such as “Honored Special Grade Teacher of Jilin Province” in 2004.
Ms. Zhu was hosted by High Tech High School in San Diego, California. Among her many accomplishments were working with her mentor teacher to download Chinese songs and lyrics so modern culture could be taught, and befriending teachers in other schools that allowed her increased classroom speaking and observational opportunities.
