Alshimaa Elsayed Samir Nofal Salama

Bio
Alshimaa Salama is from Alexandria, Egypt and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (Language and Translation section) from Alexandria University. She pursued her postgraduate studies and obtained a number of diplomas in Translation, Applied Linguistics and Education, as well as a professional diploma in Curriculum and Learning Programs. She teaches English at the Elnasr Girl’s College (5,000 students and 785 teachers). Since 1999, Ms. Alshimaa has been responsible for extracurricular activities in her school, has acted as a student mentor, as well as an advisor. She has conducted workshops for her colleagues on methodology, classroom management, and positive attitude. Ms. Alshimaa enjoys reading and walking in her spare time. Her main objective for participating in the Teachers of Critical Languages Program is to introduce U.S. students to the Arabic Language and to the Arab culture, traditions, and customs.
