This year's group of TCLP exchange and mentor teachers had the opportunity to hear the Assistant Secretary of State speak, alongside President of American Councils Dr. Dan Davidson, at the closing ceremony of their Orientation. During the session Dr. Davidson emphasized the importance of students acquiring global competencies and learning critical languages, such as Arabic and Mandarin Chinese. Ms. Ryan noted the many accomplishments of TCLP alumni and the lasting impact they have on schools in the U.S., as well as schools in their home countries.The 2016-2017 teachers were excited to meet with Assistant Secretary Ryan and enjoyed discussing their plans for the coming year.
