This lesson is designed for animal words. Activities for 90 minutes class help students learn new words and practice sentence drills. At the end of the class, students will be able to: recognize animal words (狗,猫,鸟,鱼,老虎,狮子,鲸鱼,兔子,熊猫,熊,大象,乌龟,天竺鼠); read and say animal words in Chinese properly; -know how to use expressions (你喜欢… 吗?我喜欢… /我不喜欢…) understand what meanings animals have in Chinese culture.

After completing the class, students will be able to 1. recite the body parts including head, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, shoulder, back, stomach, hand, foot, arms and legs and also the instructive verb “touch”, “move” and “pat”; 2. give instructions to each other in pairs like “touch your head” or “move your shoulder”; 3. apply body parts vocabulary to sentence patterns like  “I have brown eyes” and “The monster has red eyes and blue ears.”
