Gao Zixin

Bio
Gao Zixin is originally from Tonghua, China. She received her master's degree in education from Yanbian University. She has been an English teacher at the No. 1 High School of Tonghua since 2010, where she is now a head teacher. Additionally, she has received several teaching awards, such as the Award of Science and Technology Creation Competition in Jilin Province and the Education Science Outstanding Teaching Outcome Award in Jilin Province. She enjoys reading. During her year in the United States, Ms. Zixin looked forward to learning American teaching methods, celebrating Thanksgiving, and sharing Chinese cultural holidays with her students. Ms. Gao’s primary objectives for participating in TCLP were to share Chinese culture and to teach Chinese in her host community. She was hosted by Batesville Primary School in Batesville, IN and is the alumni buddy for Huang Hsin-Yi. She is also the Chinese Cohort Leader for the 2018-2019 group.
