Lahoucine Azergui is from Agadir, Morocco. He received his master's degree in education from the INSPÉ of Aquitaine in Bordeaux, France in 2019. He also holds a master's degree in comparative studies from Ibn Zohr University in Agadir. Mr. Azergui has been teaching English since 2010 and currently teaches at Alkhalij High School in Agadir. From 2003 to 2009, he taught French and Arabic at the primary and middle school levels. Additionally, Mr. Azergui has taught French at the French Institute of Agadir and translation at the university level. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and playing sports. During his year in the United States, Mr. Azergui is hoping to attend a baseball game and learn the basics about this American pastime. He would also like to learn more about how Americans spend their leisure time. His primary objective for participating in TCLP is to develop professionally by learning about the American educational system as well as new teaching strategies and practices. He will be hosted by Merrick Academy Charter School in Laurelton, NY.
