Sarah Schwab is originally from Morris, Illinois. She received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Wheaton College and her master’s in Spanish language and culture from Cleveland State University. She has been teaching Spanish for 17 years. She is currently the Spanish teacher at Campus International High School, an International Baccalaureate candidate school on the campus of Cleveland State University, a position she has held since 2017. She is the language acquisition department chair as well as one of the faculty advisers for the school's service club. She became a teacher to inspire students to think more broadly about the world and to have the language to access other cultures and diverse groups of people more easily. Her own experience living in Harbin, China as a child influenced her understanding of the world and her desire to give others the opportunity to experience other cultures and languages. Ms. Schwab was a mentor teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. She will be the mentor teacher for Yassin Essaid from Tetouan, Morocco.
