Chen Jinsong
Bio
Chen Jinsong is from Fushun, China and received her bachelor’s degree in English Education from Liaoning Normal University. She has been an English teacher at Fushun No.2 Senior High School since 1993. She is also a school union representative and has served as a grade group lesson preparation leader. She enjoys singing, reading and traveling, and has a husband and a lovely daughter. During her year in the U.S., Ms. Chen looked forward to making new friends, experiencing a different culture, celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas, going to an NBA game and a figure skating competition, celebrating the Spring Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival and making some traditional Chinese foods with her students. Her primary objectives for participating in TCLP were to learn advanced teaching methods and techniques and to develop her teaching ability and approaches by applying what she learns to future teaching. She hoped to help American students learn about Chinese culture and improve their Chinese. She was hosted by Jackson High School in Jackson, MI.
