Abdellah Aly

Bio
Abdellah Aly is originally from Abo Hommos, Egypt. He received his bachelor’s degree in education and TESOL from Alexandria University in 2000 and was awarded an advanced diploma in professional teacher practice from Northumbria University - UK - in 2008. In 2017, Mr. Aly received a second bachelor’s degree, in English translation, from Cairo Open University. He has been a senior TESOL head teacher at his school since 2013. He also supervises the English language staff and is responsible for the English club. Additionally, he trains teachers in his home town on interactive teaching strategies and participates in conferences and educational workshops. He enjoys making new friends, volunteering, and photography. He has two kids. He looked forward to snowboarding and playing American football during his year in the US. By participating in TCLP, Mr. Aly planned to pursue opportunities for professional development and hoped to build lasting connections between his home and host communities. He was hosted by Bearden High School in Knoxville, TN.
