Chinese New Year Week

Shen Yan (Tonopah Valley High School, 2018-2019) and Michael Valdez (Tonopah Valley High School, 2018-2019) received a CLP grant for a Chinese New Year Week. The event will be held during Spring Festival, the Chinese teacher will celebrate this festival with students, teachers, and parents from the American host school. The Chinese New Year Week will last for four days. There will be different topics for each day. The first day there will be a papercutting demonstration. The seconds day will be a calligraphy workshop to create couplets. The third day dumplings will be made for lunch. The fourth day there will be an introduction to traditional Chinese sports.
